Calling all Chocolate Lovers

On the list of my 2015 projects, I have a romance novella coming up first about Melissa, my chocolatier, who finds love in an unexpected way. I love writing Melissa's story. First, it's a great romance story, and second, because I love writing and researching about chocolate! The research is fabulous. I wanted to share just a couple of highlights with you!

Chocolate. It feels like a cliche for a woman to say she loves chocolate. But there is something special about this confection, it's there?

I don't love all chocolate. Most milk chocolate I can take or leave. White chocolate, unless its mixed with something amazing (like a white chocolate congnac truffle as lipictured below), rarely impresses me. I think it's because I overdosed on white chocolate Easter rabbits as a kid. But, I've been writing about all things chocolate these days.

Desserts I've been researching and planning to make:

Chocolate Pots de Creme

Dinner with Julie Confection

These sweet confections are surprisingly easy to make. I've seen simple blender versions and more so sophisticated versions like the one depicted here. The image above is from Dinner with Julie. She provides an easy to follow a step-by-step recipe on how to make delicious dessert. If you have a just a little patience and passion (a key ingredient for making chocolate), you can easily make this dessert.

Pomegranate Chocolate Moose

Oh My Veggies

I love the mix of sharp dark chocolate with fruit. Check out these vegan chocolate pomegranate chocolate moose cups by Oh My Veggies. This very easy and very healthy dessert is on my "to try" list...right after I perfect the chocolate pots de creme.

I'm headed to the World of Chocolate Museum in Orlando, FL for some research soon. I'll be sure to share pictures with you.

In the meantime, I found a few chocolate buys for you, including one of my favorite movies, Chocolat and a favorite book, The History of Chocolate!
